16th February 2018…

Today finally saw the official launch of my brand new

Localad Services Handyman Assist website.

we updated our websiteSince late October 2017, I decided that the time had finally come to do some serious work on my website. Because you know… first impressions and all that.

The old webby was fine (of a fashion). But it was also seriously lacking. Half of the pages on it were incomplete, the SEO was non existent and believe it or not, Google had never even heard of it. Or at least it felt that way.

Just getting it seen was a full time job in itself. Done through regular postings on all available social media channels.

So if you have been wondering at all where I have been recently (reported MIA on facebook), then this little beauty should explain everything.

First off I undertook some heavy duty training.

Learning what and what not to include. All about SEO (search engine optimisation – or “LOOK AT ME GOOGLE!” as it is better known). Image optimisation and good follow up practices.

And then, there was the writing… Reams and reams and reams of painstaking writing. More writing than a year’s worth of the spreadsheet New York Times’ all left in a big pile, destroying the Karma (and feng shui) of some of the best living rooms in the land.

Everything off the old site had to be re-written. None of it made sense to Google in the way it was both delivered and structured.

What the Hell is passive voice anyway? I was brung up in Engerland. I speak the Queen’s ffs. But it appears that the almighty Goog doesn’t. Yes, I’m sure that’s it.

So anyway…

49 properly indexed, highly optimised and SEO’d pages later. Along with a further 58 blog posts, again fully optimised, SEO’d, indexised, galvanised (and probably Simonized to give it an awesome shine), later…

IT IS FINALLY ALL DONE, DUSTED AND DISPLAYED!!
