Q. How does Localad Services Handyman Assist work?
After contacting me with your initial enquiry, I’ll provide you with a quote over the phone wherever possible. Or, if necessary, I’ll organise a suitable time to visit where I will more thoroughly go through any job details with you.
After that, I will email you the full details of any job to be undertaken along with a mutually agreed date and start time for the project to begin.
And once I begin your project, you will have my undivided attention right up to its satisfactory completion.
Q. Are you insured?
Yes, it’s the law.
I currently carry full Public Liability Insurance with an indemnity of up to $10 million.
I am also currently striving for CM3 registration. This will mean that anybody can instantly pre-qualify my WHS credentials and insurance status online.
Q. What sort of jobs can your Handyman do?
I can do most anything, from basic carpentry right through to gutters; painting and decorating; plumbing repairs; furniture assembly, repairs and installation; and much much more to boot.
What I can’t do:
Without proper licensing, I cannot legally perform any electrical or ‘notifiable’ (major) plumbing works. But I can recommend people who are happy to work alongside me should you require them.

Q. Do you work weekends?
There are always occasions where jobs will run through a weekend. And while I prefer not to, if the need be, I will happily endeavour to do so. I can also work after hours to help meet a deadline or for emergency call-outs should the need ever arise.
Q. What if the Handyman gets here and I have other jobs for him to do?
There’s always a possibility that this can happen and wherever I can, I’ll always endeavour to fit in anything else you might need completed whilst I’m on site.
Sometimes though, another pre-booked client appointment may prevent this, but it’s not a problem to re-book me further down the line.
Q. Is there a guarantee for the quality of your work?
I pride myself on the amount of repeat business I get and am therefore happy to stand behind all my work.
At Handyman Assist, a job is never considered finished until I have your initial satisfaction. And I also provide a 12 month, no hassle GUARANTEE on any of my workmanship.
If you aren’t happy with any part of the job, just let me know and I’ll fix it for you.
Q. How do you charge and how can I pay for your services?
For smaller jobs I usually charge by the hour. Whereas any larger projects will be automatically charged at a discounted daily rate for you.
I don’t have a call out fee for domestic customers but a minimum charge of one hour will be implemented.
At present, I am happy to accept payment via cash, cheque, or bank transfer.
