Q. How does Localad Services Handyman Assist work?
After contacting us with your initial enquiry, we will provide you with a quote over the phone wherever possible or if necessary, organise a suitable time for us to visit where we can more thoroughly go through any job details with you.
After that, we will email you the full details of the job to be undertaken along with a mutually agreed start date and time for the project to begin.
And once we begin your project, you will have our undivided attention right up to its satisfactory completion.
Q. Are you insured?
Yes, it’s the law.
We currently carry full Public Liability Insurance with an indemnity of up to $10 million.
We are also currently striving for CM3 registration so that anybody can instantly pre-qualify our WHS credentials and insurance status online.
Q. What sort of jobs can your Handyman do?
We can do most anything, from basic carpentry right through to gutters; painting and decorating; plumbing repairs; furniture assembly, repairs and installation; and much much more to boot.
Without proper licensing, we cannot legally perform any electrical or ‘notifiable’ (major) plumbing works but we can recommend people who are happy to work alongside us should you require them.

Q. Do you work weekends?
There are always occasions where jobs will run through a weekend and while we prefer not to, if the need be, we will happily endeavour to do so. We can also work after hours to help meet a deadline or for emergency call-outs should the need ever arise.
Q. What if the Handyman gets here and I have other jobs for him to do?
There’s always a possibility that this can happen and wherever we can, we’ll always endeavour to fit in anything else you might need completed whilst we are on site.
Sometimes though, another pre-booked client appointment may prevent this, but it’s not a problem to re-book us further down the line.
Q. Is there a guarantee for the quality of your work?
We pride ourselves on the amount of repeat business we get and are therefore happy to stand behind all our work.
At Handyman Assist, a job is never considered finished until we have your initial satisfaction and we also provide a 12 month, no hassle GUARANTEE on any of our workmanship.
If you aren’t happy with any part of the job, just let us know and we’ll fix it for you.
Q. How do you charge and how can I pay for your services?
For smaller jobs we usually charge by the hour whereas any larger projects will be automatically charged at a discounted daily rate for you.
We don’t have a call out fee for domestic customers but a minimum charge of one hour will be implemented.
At present, we are happy to accept payment via cash, cheque, or bank transfer.
